Not home yet...tomorrow!

Elder Lott did not get to come home on Saturday.  There was concern that connecting flights to other states would start closing down so the Saturday planes coming from South American brought missionaries from several countries needing connecting flights to get home.  On Tuesday, two more planes will be coming with missionaries who's final destination is Salt Lake City. Hopefully, Elder Lott will be on one of those planes.  We have a flight number so I'm very optimistic and continually praying!

The other three Elders from his apartment left for the Saturday flight and three Chilean Elders arrived.  He is practicing Spanish and teaching a little English.  They brought Uno cards and a ukulele so there is new variety. He was left with the District Leader phone and is fielding calls and helping where he can...still as a missionary training in his first transfer.  What a great opportunity to grow!

With the rapid spread of Coronavirus in Elder Lott's area, the government and military are enforcing the quarantine. Only the mission president was able to transport missionaries out on Saturday because he was the only one with government authorization.  We are so grateful for President and Sister Brotherson!  What a great responsibility they are shouldering right now in keeping our missionaries safe and getting them home! 💕  The Stake Presidents and some members will be helping to transport missionaries on Tuesday.  Thank you to all of these great people!

They can no longer get to the mission home and have no computer access.  Elder Lott told us if he didn't get on the Tuesday plane, he was going to start swimming.  It seems we are all learning to deal with changed plans and disappointment. We appreciate all of the prayers for our missionaries and specifically Elder Lott.
